However, LaFlamme abruptly ended her employment with Bell Media, CTV's parent company, on August 15.

"On June 29, I learned that Bell Media had terminated my contract due to a 'business decision,' abruptly ending my lengthy career with CTV News. Bell Media's decision caught me off guard, and I'm still shocked and saddened by it," LaFlamme said.
LaFlamme received a flood of support after the theory spread on social media.
