Rapper Fetty Wap pleads guilty to cocaine conspiracy, federal prosecutor says

According to the prosecutor’s office, rapper Fetty Wap has admitted guilt in federal court to conspiring to possess and distribute 500 grammes or more of cocaine.

There is no set time for sentencing. Nevertheless, a rapper’s lawyer asked for an accelerated sentencing date, according to a US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York spokesperson.
The rapper’s lawyer has been contacted by CNN for comment.

The “Wake Up” artist was charged with drug trafficking conspiracy in October and detained along with five other people. He was granted bail of $500,000, which was revoked earlier this month after authorities claimed he violated the conditions by threatening to kill someone and brandishing a gun during a FaceTime call in December.

He admitted guilt to a charge that carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, but the actual sentence could be anywhere between 87 and 108 months in prison, depending on a number of different factors.

According to the indictment, Fetty Wap and the other accused individuals are accused of transporting and distributing drugs throughout Long Island, including cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
