Still battling the mask-wearing murderer Michael Myers is Laurie Strode. The first trailer for the upcoming Halloween Ends sequel features Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as Laurie in a showdown with her longtime foe.
On Tuesday night, the third and final instalment in director David Gordon Green’s slasher series, the horror movie, unexpectedly released its trailer. On Twitter, Curtis hinted at the release of the trailer and urged followers to tune in for a “treat.”
The thirteenth Halloween film and third from Green is titled Halloween Ends. It adheres to the timeline established by Halloween (2018), which left out all other instalments of the series besides John Carpenter’s 1978 debut.

The movie will pick up where Halloween Kills left off in 2021, with Laurie joining forces with her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) to take on Michael Myers (played by Nick Castle and stuntman James Jude Courtney).
Alongside Will Patton, Kyle Richards, and Omar Dorsey, Curtis and Matichak will reprise their roles, and Michael O’Leary joins the cast. The film’s screenplay was co-written by Green, Chris Bernier, Danny McBride, and Paul Brad Logan.
The final time Curtis will play Laurie Strode is said to be in Halloween Ends. In the sequels Halloween II, Halloween H20, and Halloween Resurrection, the actress reprises her role as the lead character that she first played in the 1978 horror classic Halloween.
Her final day of filming was shared on Instagram in February, and she wrote, “A bittersweet end for me on the Halloween movies. On these three films, I’ve worked with fantastic artists and made some wonderful friends, and today my part in the movie is finished, which means this trilogy is over for me.
The Universal Pictures film Halloween Ends will be shown in theatres on October 14.
