To begin the match against Liverpool on Monday, Ronaldo was on the sidelines.
This Premier League season, Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United have not had the best of starts, and his annoyance was evident Monday before his match against Liverpool.
Gary Neville and Roy Keane were greeted by Ronaldo, who started for Manchester United from the bench. To welcome Keane, he went around Jamie Carragher. For having a “nice conversation” with Ronaldo before the soccer star returned to warm up, Dave Jones made fun of Carragher.
Ronaldo was a former teammate of Neville and Keane, but Rio Ferdinand, a former English soccer star, thinks one of the best players in the world purposely passed over Carragher.
On his YouTube programme “FIVE,” he claimed, “I think Cristiano is very aware of the Liverpool-Manchester United rivalry.” “Knowing Cristiano, I am aware that Jamie Carragher has been outspoken about Cristiano’s issues and other things, so that would have been one of the things.
“I can assure you that Cristiano would have seen those remarks and would have walked over there thinking, “I’ll just let this guy know, he needs to calm down,” and humiliated or exposed him in front of the world on live television.

“Cristiano is very astute; he is aware of the situation. He doesn’t just sit around the house and do nothing.
Carragher made a point of criticising Manchester United in February for signing Ronaldo from Juventus and keeping him for the 2022–23 campaign.
In a column for The Telegraph, he stated, “Given the cost of signing such a superstar as Ronaldo, it is not a smart investment.” “Let me reiterate: I am not discussing his accomplishments or casting a critical eye on his career at this point.
“How can I or anyone else criticise someone who has over 800 goals and five Champions League championships? But if you bring in Ronaldo now, it will be a quick hire that is expected to produce results right away.”
It’s unclear if Ronaldo deliberately ignored Carragher in response to the criticisms or if he was merely highlighting the rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool. Carragher was notable for spending his entire career with Liverpool. Keane and Neville were Manchester United players.
Last week, Ronaldo criticized the media for spreading rumors that he might leave Manchester United. He claimed to keep a journal of “lies” from the media.
