According to rumours, Armie Hammer supports his family by working as a timeshare salesman at a resort hotel in the Cayman Islands.
On July 6, a tweet that has since been removed that featured Hammer as a hotel concierge at Morritt’s Resort in Grand Cayman went viral. The hotel’s staff denied the actor was employed there and said the flyer was a joke after it gained popularity on social media and was first tweeted by Desus & Mero producer Muna Mire.
In the days that followed, TMZ released images that appeared to show Hammer engaged in timeshare sales at the resort. However, Hammer is not a staff member of the resort, according to Chris Butcher, director of sales at Morritt’s, who said as much in a statement to the Los Angeles Times on Monday (July 11). Instead, Hammer plays golf with a staff member who invited the actor to “come and see what we do.”
Hammer is allegedly marketing timeshares at a hotel resort in the Cayman Islands, according to a Variety article that was published on Wednesday (July 13).
According to a source who wishes to remain unnamed, “He is employed at a cubicle.” The truth is that he is completely broke and is working odd jobs to pay the bills and support his family.
In a statement to Entertainment Weekly in response to the allegations, Hammer’s attorney, Andrew Brettler, said: “I can’t confirm or deny it because Armie hasn’t addressed it.”
In January 2021, allegations against Hammer were first made public, which led to him cancelling his participation in the Jennifer Lopez movie Shotgun Wedding. His agent and publicist dropped him a month later.
Later, he was accused of rape and fired from additional projects. According to reports, Hammer entered a rehab facility in June of last year to get treatment for “drug, alcohol, and sex issues.”
All of the allegations against Hammer have been refuted. His attorney issued a statement in which he stated: “With the truth on his side, Mr. Hammer welcomes the chance to clear the air. From the beginning, Mr. Hammer has insisted that every interaction he has had with [the alleged victim] and every other sexual partner of his has been fully consensual.
